Alston Moor - the official visitor site

Alston has a fabulous array of independent shopping establishments.  The only ‘high street’ names are the Co-op and Spar stores.  So if you want big name brands, like a lot of other tourist destinations, you’ll be disappointed.  If on the other hand you want something different to the mainstream then you’re in for a lovely surprise!  We’re proud to be the World’s First Social Enterprise Town; to find out what that means, you can download a copy of the explanatory leaflet here or pick up a hard copy from Alston Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall.
